The COVID-19 pandemic is threatening lives and economies around the globe. Alliance has activated the Business Continuity Plan (“BCP”) since the very early phase of the outbreak in January to swiftly and effectively respond to the challenge.

Safety and Well-being of Our People Are Our Top Priorities

The safety of our people is our top priority. By introducing stringent precautionary measures, we combat the spread of the virus in workplaces. These measures include home office, flexible working hours, split team and split office arrangement, cease of business trips and utilization of video conferencing tools to conduct meetings.

Keep Hong Kong Running Amid COVID-19

After the first COVID-19 outbreak in Mainland China, the Central Government locked down the whole economy in February to contain the virus spread. The suspension of business and industries in Guangdong Province including stone quarries has resulted in shortage of aggregates supply chain in February and March, which in turn seriously disrupted the concrete supply and construction projects in Hong Kong. During this period we strived to mobilize our resources to maintain concrete production and supported our key customers to keep their critical construction projects going.

Concrete Effort to Support HK Government to Fight the Virus

We strived our effort under the difficult situation in February to fully support the Hong Kong government to build the Lei Yue Mun Park Quarantine Centre. Concrete was supplied to the site continuously throughout the whole construction process.

Support Vulnerable Groups by Providing Epidemic-prevention Supplies

We donated surgical masks to The Hong Kong Society for the Blind and Make A Wish Hong Kong.

For the elderly, who are at the highest risk of developing severe disease, we donated hand sanitizers to three elderly service centres in Tsing Yi, namely Tsing Yi Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, Cheung Hang Neighbourhood Elderly Centre and Mrs. Chao King Lin Neighbourhood Elderly Centre.

Strict Hygienic Control in all Our Workplaces

Strict hygienic control measures are implemented in all our workplaces, such as daily body temperature check, wearing surgical mask, regular workstation and common area disinfection. For production sites, we step up our access control and ensure everyone to strictly follow all hygienic measures.

Source PPE to Protect Our Employees

We source PPE including surgical masks and instant hand sanitizers for the protection of our employees.

Customer Service Centre (CSC)

CSC staff were divided into two groups to work in different offices to mitigate any impact in the worst case scenario. New partitions were added to their work stations and safe distance was maintained.

Live Up to Our Community Support Commitment

Our volunteers sent the hand sanitizers to Cheung Hang Neighbourhood Elderly Centre.
