Grand Opening of STW2 Plant - Alliance’s Tsing Yi Concrete Production Hub Starts a New Chapter
Alliance Construction Materials Limited (“Alliance” or “the Company”), the leading concrete and aggregates Total Solutions Provider in Hong Kong, celebrated the grand opening of its new Sai Tso Wan 2 (STW2) concrete plant in Tsing Yi on 10 November 2022.
A New Chapter of its Tsing Yi Concrete Production Hub
The STW2 Plant, embracing the latest digital technologies and green features, will start a new chapter of the Company’s Tsing Yi Concrete Production Hub. This mega plant will synergize with Alliance’s two existing concrete plants in Tsing Yi, namely the Sai Tso Wan Plant and Tsing Tim Street Plant, forming a strong and highly efficient concrete supply chain.
The Concrete Production Hub is ideally situated at the heart of Hong Kong, its prime location offers easy access to all other districts in Hong Kong. With 8 production lines and the daily productivity of over 8,000m3, this Concrete Production Hub will provide strong support to Hong Kong’s future development.

A Game Changer Concrete Plant with Green and Digitalized Features
It’s the Company’s ambition to make this STW2 Plant a carbon neutral construction. This goal was finally achieved through energy saving, reduction of embodied carbon and offsetting unavoidable emissions. The new plant features three production lines and can achieve a daily production volume of over 3000m3. Its mega storage capacity of 7,800 tons aggregates and 4,800 tons cementitious materials can support continuous production for contingencies. The green and digitalized features of STW2 make it a game changer concrete plant. Its key green facilities include solar PV system, smart dust control, auto-truck washing, waste and wastewater recycling. The new plant also has a real green office with outstanding energy efficiency, thermal and noise insulation. STW2 is positioned as a digitalized plant as it was built with smart innovations: Remote batching system to enable production anytime anywhere; customer e-docket app and driver’s app to enhance operational transparency and user experience; AI technologies to improve outbound concrete logistics accuracy and detect unsafe behavior, aggregates auto-bin fill system to enhance efficiency, etc.
